It’s Wagatha Christie!

Back in 2019, I heard about a tweet Coleen Rooney made about fellow WAG Rebecca Vardey alleging that the latter had been leaking all her private Instagram posts to the Press. It had caused a huge feud between the two of them. I read it and moved on, after all there were much more significant things going on the world as we all found out not too long after. So imagine my surprise when watching the news nearly three years later and I'm now seeing this tweet has led to a High Court case costing millions of pounds. What the duck?!!!

What I'm finding even more fascinating is that it has spawned a whole mini industry of its own with Journalists and Papparazi flocking to the Courts to take notes and pictures on what these two women are wearing and saying there. Its become less of a court battle and more like an episode from a reality tv series on Bravo.

There is even a podcast dedicated to this whole fascinating saga (which I am now up to date with by downloading and listening on my coach journeys to and from work...the shame of it! 🤦🏿‍♂️😂).

It turns out that Mrs Vardey wasn't happy with Mrs Rooney's allegations and is suing Mrs Rooney for defaming her. The story is now having plot twists and turns of its own with Mobile phones (crucial to providing evidence) being dropped into the North Sea and computers being corrupted. The journalists are having a field day listening to and reporting very well spoken Barristers saying rude words and social media slang as they quote tweets and Whattssap messages as evidence to the case.
Coleens’s tweet has surely turned into one of the world's most expensive ever?! Anyhow, I'm fully invested in it now and will be following it to the end via the podcast. You're welcome!
