Steven Bartlett

One of my favourite lines in one of my favourite things ever is a statement from 'The Sunscreen Song' that goes like this… "Be careful of whose advice you buy but be patient of those who supply it. Advice is a form of nostalgia, dispensing it is a way of fishing the past from the disposal, wiping it off, painting off the ugly parts and recycling it for more than its worth."
We are raised to rever the advice dispensed to us by our elders but we tend to forget that we can also learn from our peers and from those younger than us as well which brings me to the man whose name I'm about to mention... Steven Bartlett.

I first would see Steven's videos on my Facebook feed and would scroll on dismissing him as yet another online influencer with the gift of the gab trying to persuade me to buy his products. Quite a while later I came across a clip of an interview he had with England football manager Gareth Southgate and I found I enjoyed it. I then thought to give his podcast ‘Diary of a CEO’ a listen and now it is what I listen to via my headphones on my journeys to and from work and when I'm doing stuff around the house along with my 'Feeling Happy' playlist on Amazon to set me up for the day. He is very interesting to listen to and has built through hard work and determination an empire through his company Social Chain and is still just as determined to build his legacy as well which I have no doubt that he will achieve. I’m old enough to be his uncle but I find him incredibly inspiring with his (sometimes Savage) honesty. I love the conversations he has with equally inspiring and interesting people from all over the globe who are making their mark in this world and am continuously learning gems of knowledge through their chats. I'm still only on series two of his podcast episodes but have thoroughly enjoyed every single one I've listened to so far and am feeling smug in the knowledge that I still have an awesome number of episodes to devour.

I've also just discovered that he is going to be on 'Dragons Den' as the latest dragon on the show so that's one more thing to watch on the TV when I finally get a chance to! Thank you Steven and wishing you continued success in your company Social Chain and all your future endeavours! 👏🏿👏🏿👏🏿 👏🏿
