Not today…

Sometimes you just have to throw your hands up in defeat. This mornings planned short run ended up being even shorter than planned. It took me forever to get out and after I finally did I realised half a mile in that I hadn't started my Garmin, just after rectifying that a gust of wind blew my cap 🌪 🧢 into the grounds of a residential care home. I did think about scaling their railings to retrieve it but then quickly remembered that I might give a resident a heart attack when they look out of their window and see me doing an ungraceful spiderman impression entering their garden 👵🏼👴🏻😱 so I did a quick circuit around the property to see if their was a concierge who could help out. No such thing but there was a showroom apartment which is staffed from Tuesdays to Saturdays so I guess I'll be back there on Tuesday then. Whilst I was figuring this all out, the winds and rains intensified and I simply was not interested in running any further and headed back home 🏡.

I might head out later in the day if I feel up to it. It is what it is. Much respect to all who are out there today doing their Virtual London Marathon runs in these testing conditions today. You're all heroes. 🏃🏼 🏃🏿‍♀️🏃🏿‍♂️🏃🏽
